Realme held an event in China to announce the realme GT Neo 5 smartphone.

Here's What We Know

The novelty was introduced in two versions. The basic one has a 5000 mAh battery and fast charging support with 150W of power. The top-end model features a 4,600mAh battery, but also boasts a new 240W SuperVOOC fast charging technology. According to the manufacturer, the smartphone charges from 0 to 100 per cent in 9 minutes. The company also claims that a 30-second charge is enough for 2 hours of talk time on the phone.

As for the other specs, they are the same. The realme GT Neo 5 gets a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution and 10-bit colour support. The novelty runs last year's flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage.

As for the cameras, there are four in the smartphone: a triple 50 MP main (Sony IMX890) + 8 MP (wide-angle lens) + 2 MP (macro) and a single 16 MP front-facing one. The novelty comes with Android 13 operating system and realme UI 4.0 shell.
