A Redmi Note 12 Pro smartphone bought a few months ago caught fire in its owner's pocket
There has been another report of a smartphone catching fire from India - this time the incident involved a Redmi Note 12 Pro.
Here's What We Know
Naveen Dahiya had bought the smartphone in February 2023, which means the gadget had only been in use for a few months. According to him, the phone was in his shirt pocket that day. Suddenly, the man felt fever and burning, and saw smoke coming from the device. Fortunately, the user reacted quickly and retrieved the smartphone before it could burn his skin.
As a result, the gadget was completely destroyed by the fire. It is not known what caused the fire, but the phone was not on charge at the time.
Naveen Dahiya shared the story on social media and said that if he didn't get a satisfactory response from Redmi, he would sue the manufacturer. However, after a while, the man deleted the post from Twitter.
