Redmi Note 12 5G became the world's first Android smartphone to reach 1 million units in sales since the beginning of 2023

Until recently, no Android smartphone had sold 1 million units since the beginning of 2023. The Redmi Note 12 5G has changed the situation.

The smartphone was unveiled in October 2022, with the global version arriving about two and a half months later. Xiaomi had enough seven months to make the sales of Redmi Note 12 5G reach 1 million units.

What's interesting is that the millionth smartphone was sold in July this year, but the Chinese manufacturer has officially announced it only now. Last month, Xiaomi reported that the cumulative sales of all Redmi Note smartphones reached 338 million units.

The Redmi Note 12 5G got an AMOLED display with 120Hz frame rate, Snapdragon 4 Gen1 chip and a 5000 mA*h battery. The resolution of the main camera was 48 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP and the front camera was 13 MP.
