Three years after the premiere of the Reno 8 series, OPPO introduced a new generation of mid-range smartphones - OPPO Reno 9.
Here's What We Know
The main new product of today is the OPPO Reno 9 Pro+. The flagship of the series has a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chip with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage capacity of 256/512GB. The battery capacity was 4,700 mA*h and the fast charging power was 80W.
The smartphone has an AMOLED screen by BOE. The panel has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, Full HD+ format and a diagonal of 6.7". Protection is provided by Asahi AGC Dragontrail-Star2 glass. The notch at the top contains a 32MP autofocus front-facing camera based on a Sony IMX709 sensor. Below the display there is a fingerprint scanner.
The main camera OPPO Reno 9 Pro+ is represented by three modules: the main (Sony IMX890), ultra-wide-angle and macro. The resolution is 50 MP, 8 MP and 2 MP, respectively. The smartphone supports 4K UHD video recording at 60 FPS. Separately, it should be noted the presence of a dedicated image processor MariSilicon X.
The model has a standard set of interfaces for today. There is NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, but there is no Mini-Jack. The overall dimensions were 161.5 x 73.6 x 7.99 mm with a weight of 192 g. The smartphone also got stereo sound and ColorOS 13 firmware on Android 13 right out of the box.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The global version of the OPPO Reno 9 Pro+ is expected in early 2023, and in China sales will start on December 10. The smartphone in 256GB and 512GB modifications cost $560 and $615, respectively. Novelty is available in black, gold and mint colors of the body.
