The potential sale of the M142 HIMARS will realise US national security and foreign policy goals. The deal will be considered by the US Congress within 30 days.
Australia has submitted a request to purchase 22 M142 HIMARS high-mobility artillery rocket systems. The deal will include the sale of associated equipment and GMLRS precision munitions, including an Extended Range version with a launch range of up to 150 kilometres.
