Ukraine may have destroyed the $1.2bn S-400 Triumf system, a position shown to Russian tourists in Crimea in 2022

On the morning of 14 September 2023, Ukraine struck a $1.2 billion Russian S-400 Triumf surface-to-air missile system. Now an interesting fact has emerged.

Here's What We Know

Investigator @Osinttechnical believes that the Ukrainian Defence Forces destroyed the very system whose location was revealed a year earlier by Russian tourists in Yevpatoria. But time is running so fast that this has been forgotten.

In August 2022, a Russian woman named Marina posted a photo of the S-400 Triumf anti-aircraft missile system on Instagram and wrote that Yevpatoria was protected. Later, a man was photographed against the background of the launcher, approaching it at a distance of several metres.

The strike on the S-400 Triumf was carried out by drones and missiles. Drones hit radar stations and modified anti-ship missiles destroyed the launchers of the air defence system.
