The German government is preparing documents to formalise an order for EuroPULS multiple rocket launchers. They will be the replacement for the MARS II.

Here's What We Know

In 2022, Germany transferred five MARS II multiple rocket launchers to Ukraine. When choosing a replacement, the Ministry of Defence settled on EuroPULS. This is a weapon based on the Israeli PULS system.

To reduce costs and simplify logistics, Germany decided to purchase EuroPULS together with the Netherlands. A contract for the purchase of five jet systems is expected to be signed by the end of this month.

Israeli company Elbit Systems is developing EuroPULS together with German defence giant Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. A corresponding agreement was signed between the two firms last year.

EuroPULS can hit enemy targets within a range of 35-300 kilometres depending on the type of ammunition. Predator Hawk ballistic missiles have the longest range.
