Ukraine officially confirmed the destruction of Russian launchers of the $1.25bn S-400 Triumf surface-to-air missile system

Russian propagandists last week reported a strike on an S-400 air defence position in the occupied Luhansk region. Now this information has been officially confirmed by Ukraine.

Here's What We Know

The strategic air defence system was destroyed near the temporarily occupied Luhansk. This is stated in a statement of the Office of Strategic Communications of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The statement does not mention the number of launchers hit and the type of weapons used. Russians wrote that two ATAMCS ballistic missiles were able to destroy three S-400 Triumf launchers. The cost of the complex is estimated at $1.25 billion.

Earlier we wrote that the Office of strategic communications confirmed the strike on Crimea. On the night of October 30, 2023, a strategic air defence facility there was successfully hit. Details have not yet been specified.
