Interceptors to NASAMS, shells for HIMARS and TOW missiles - US announces $125m military aid package for Ukraine

US hands Ukraine new military aid package. The contents were published on the Pentagon's website.

Here's What We Know

This time the US Department of Defence has settled on $125 million. The new package includes interceptors for the NASAMS air defence system, GMLRS guided munitions for the M142 HIMARS complex and TOW missiles.

Ukraine will receive AT4 and Javelin anti-tank systems. The USA will also transfer more than 3 million rounds of small arms ammunition, ammunition for clearing obstacles, M18A1 Claymore anti-personnel mines, winter equipment and 12 trucks for transporting equipment.

The US Department of Defence statement noted the allocation of $300 million to strengthen Ukraine's air defence. The funds will be used to produce laser-guided projectiles to fight against UAVs. But the funding will go through the USAI initiative.
