The Russians have unveiled the Kh-69 cruise missile with a 310kg warhead and a range of up to 290km for the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter jet

At Dubai Airshow 2023, the Russians displayed the Kh-69 cruise missile. It has a square-section body in the Storm Shadow / SCALP EG style.

Here's What We Know

The Kh-69 is designed to be installed in the internal compartments of aircraft. It will enter service with the fifth-generation fighters Su-57. The integration of the X-69 on older aircraft, including the Su-34, is also not ruled out.

The air-to-ground munition is designed to hit targets within a radius of 290 kilometres. The weight of the warhead is 310kg. By comparison, the British Storm Shadow cruise missile is equipped with a 450kg warhead and has a range of more than 500km (250km for the export version).
