Samsung unveiled the Galaxy XCover 7: a smartphone with MIL-STD-810H and IP68 protection

After months of rumours and leaks, Samsung has announced the new Galaxy XCover 7 rugged smartphone.

Here's What We Know

The gadget has been given a plastic rubberised body with IP68 water and MIL-STD-810H impact protection. The gadget comes with Gorilla Glass Victus+ tempered glass. The novelty is equipped with a 6.6-inch display. The screen has an LCD matrix, Full HD+ resolution and a standard refresh rate of 60Hz.

Galaxy XCover 7 runs an octa-core 6-nanometre processor with 5G. The chip model was not revealed by the manufacturer, but if rumours are to be believed, we are talking about the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC. The SoC is paired with 6GB of RAM and a 128GB storage. If desired, the memory can be expanded with microSD up to 1 TB.

The novelty is powered by a 4050 mAh battery. The smartphone has a 50 MP main camera, a 5 MP front camera, a QR code scanner, speakers with Dolby Atmos, a USB-C port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The smartphone comes with Android 14 operating system and One UI 6 shell.

Price & When We Can Expect It

Sales of Galaxy XCover 7 will start in January. The price of the novelty is not yet available.
