China tested a nuclear reactor for spaceships

China has successfully tested a nuclear reactor created by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and designed for comic ships.

The reactor is capable of generating 1MW of energy. The nuclear reactor will provide power for both the spacecraft's engine and its power systems. Work on it began in 2019.

China did not disclose any details about its new development, and at the end of the summer any mention of the nuclear reactor was removed from the Web. This happened after the Ministry of Science and Technology assessed the reactor's effectiveness on August 25.
