James Webb photographed the merger of two galaxies in the shape of a question mark

At the end of last month, scientists published a photo of stars in the formation stage. However, the image was interesting for another reason.

Here's What We Know

At the bottom of the photo, scientists discerned a question mark. No, the Universe is not asking us anything. It is believed that the question mark is a pair of galaxies that are in the merger stage.

It is possible that the object first fell into the lenses of the James Webb Space Observatory. In addition, it is assumed that these galaxies look like a question mark only from the angle from which the telescope looked at them.

Matt Caplan from the University of Illinois, believes that one of the galaxies changed shape under the influence of the force of tidal disruption. Further observations of the object will help answer all the questions.
