New Galaxy Watch 6 update: Fixes touchscreen issues

Samsung has announced a major software update for its Galaxy watches aimed at fixing touchscreen issues.

Here's What We Know

This new version addresses the shortcomings and offers additional features. A few days ago, Samsung released an update for its Galaxy watches that includes workout integration for Samsung TVs and fixes for some bugs. However, there was a bug related to the touchscreen in the Galaxy Watch 6 series that caused problems when waking up from sleep mode.

The company is now actively working to fix this issue through a new update.

The update is already available for Galaxy Watch 6 in South Korea. It has firmware version R930XXU1AXC2 with a download size of 136.34 MB and may be available in other regions over the next few days.

Users who own the Galaxy Watch 6 series and live in South Korea can install the update via the Wearable app on their phone, go to "Watch Settings" and select "View Software Update".

Despite these updates, it is worth noting that they do not yet cover security patches from April 2024.

The Galaxy Watch 6 series was released in 2023 and uses the One UI 5.0 Watch app based on Wear OS 5. Watches in this series may receive an update to One UI 6.0 Watch based on Wear OS 6 later this year.
