Valve announced that Steam will soon have a feature that will allow you to easily search for games that support DUALSHOCK and DualSense controllers.

Now, in the Steamworks service for developers and publishers, game authors can specify whether their game supports PlayStation gamepads. Valve explains this innovation by the fact that it wants to help users find games that support the most common controllers for PC video games.
The company also said that since 2017, more than 87 million Steam users have played a game using a controller at least once. Today, the Xbox gamepad remains the most popular, of course, but 27% of gamers prefer DUALSHOCK or DualSense.
The new feature will be available in October, but with one more thing: Steam will immediately show whether the controller support is full or partial. This feature will make life even easier for gamers.
At the same time, Valve told us what other changes we should expect in autumn:
- Updates to the section of the game's store page that shows controller support information: it will now also include information about using PlayStation controllers.
- Updates to some search pages: players will now have an easier time finding new games that support their devices.
- Update to the Steam desktop client: information will be added to indicate that a game in the user's library supports PlayStation controllers.
- Steam desktop client update: users will now be able to tell if a game is only playable with a controller.
