China to ban 'incomplete' car steering wheels in new safety standard

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT) has released a draft national standard GB 11557-202X 'Driver Protection Requirements from Steering Mechanism Injuries'. The new version of the document excludes steering wheels with a flat top (yoke).
