News, reviews, articles on the topic Death Stranding
Hideo Kojima has added a very useful feature to Death Stranding 2 - the ability to check the length of cutscenes with the click of a button. It's a small thing, but it can be quite useful.
If you didn't see enough in the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach trailers, the Game Premiere Event organised by Kojima Productions and Geoff Keighley revealed a lot of new details. Hideo Kojima himself shared fresh details about how players will be able to call the DHV Magellan after installing the Chiral Network and watch his crew's progress throughout the game.
But tomorrow promises more details
With less than a month to go until Death Stranding 2: On the Beach's release, Kojima Productions is already preparing a high-profile premiere - a special Game Premiere Event will take place on 8 June during Summer Game Fest. Meanwhile, new details about the combat system, equipment, and unique mechanics in the sequel have been posted on the official PlayStation website.
Hideo Kojima has confirmed that he is working on an animation project as well
Sony has opened pre-orders for a limited edition Death Stranding 2: On the Beach PS5 gamepad. This special gamepad will be released on the same day as the game itself - 26 June 2025.
In a new interview, Hideo Kojima, the author of Death Stranding, recalled how his game, which told about the world of separated people, unexpectedly became a prophecy for our reality. Dollman's new character has taken centre stage
As Death Stranding 2: On the Beach prepares to become one of the major releases of 2025, Hideo Kojima is already making plans for the future. His project Physint is an ambitious stealth action game for Sony, but fans will have to wait at least five to six years for it.
Does Kojima agree?
Even if you have mixed emotions about Hideo Kojima's games, you can't help but give him credit for his courage and willingness to go all-in. Death Stranding is the type of game that, in an extremely conservative business, would never have received a significant budget from Sony if it weren't for Kojima's reputation. Still, it's safe to assume that someone at Sony was nervous to learn that they were funding a delivery simulator with minimal action, especially given the early reviews of Death Stranding from testers.
Hideo Kojima, the legendary creator of Death Stranding and Metal Gear Solid, is known for his games that explore possible scenarios for our collective future. However, recent events have forced the game director to think more deeply about his own future and the fate of Kojima Productions after his death.
Kojima Productions has announced the Death Stranding World Strand Tour 2, a large-scale world tour to celebrate the release of the long-awaited sequel Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. The tour will cover 12 cities around the world and will begin on 8 June in Los Angeles, two weeks before the game's release on PlayStation 5.
