More than 200 Ukrainian military personnel have completed a training programme to use M1 Abrams tanks in Germany, but they won't be returning to the battlefield just yet
The Ukrainian military has completed a 12-week training programme on the use of US M1 Abrams tanks in Germany.

The information was shared by the publication Business Insider. Despite the completion of the course, the crews will not yet return to Ukraine. According to the representative of the US Army in Europe, Colonel Martin O'Donnell, Ukraine has asked to leave the military in Germany until the supply of tanks begins. The soldiers have now been moved to other training grounds where they will maintain their knowledge and skills.
Flashback
The United States of America plans to start delivering combat vehicles in September. The tanks will first arrive in Germany. There they are going to be pre-modernised and then handed over to the AFU. The first batch should consist of 6-8 tanks. In total, Ukraine will receive 31 Abrams tanks in the M1A1 modification from the US.
