Polish company MILITUS-PL has developed thermobaric artillery shells for AHS Krab self-propelled howitzers

Polish AHS Krab self-propelled artillery units will be able to hit the enemy with thermobaric munitions. The projectiles were presented at the MSPO-2023 exhibition.

Here's What We Know

The developer of the new ammunition is the Polish company MILITUS-PL. Thermobaric projectiles with NEX-NW type explosive will allow AHS Krab self-propelled howitzers to destroy the enemy more effectively.

The impact factors in thermobaric munitions are high temperature and sudden pressure changes. The projectiles are primarily oriented to fight against enemy manpower hiding in trenches.

The Russian army now uses TOS-1A heavy flamethrower systems with thermobaric rockets. The launch range is about 6 kilometres. Polish howitzers AHS Krab with new ammunition will be able to fire at a distance of several dozens of kilometres.
