Here's What We Know
It is reported that modernised T-90M "Breakthrough" tanks, which can cost up to $4.5 million, allegedly used "Telnik" shells in Ukraine. This is a fragmentation-fugitive munition with air detonation at a given point of the trajectory.
This statement was made by the commander-in-chief of the ground forces, Army General Oleg Salyukov. According to him, "Telnik" as a multifunctional projectile supports rupture on the approach to the target with the defeat of ready elements.
The tank projectile has approximately the same dimensions as the 3OF26 munition. The latter is designed for use in smoothbore guns of 125 mm calibre.
