The Artifact app has an AI-powered text-to-speech feature that will read the news in Snoop Dogg's voice

News app Artifact has added a text-to-speech feature using artificial intelligence that will read news articles in the voices of Snoop Dogg and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Here's What We Know

The new feature is available through a partnership with Speechify, a startup that creates digital voices.

According to Artifact's head of product Robby Stein, there are more than 30 English voices available in total.

How To Switch It On

To convert text to speech, while reading an article, click on the Play icon, which is located on the bottom bar. The player will allow you to select your reading speed and voice.

The audio can play in the background.

According to Stein, the feature is already available on iOS and will be coming soon to Android.
