Twitter Blue's $11-a-month subscription is now available to Android users

Twitter in December 2022 announced a subscription Blue for the web version and iOS-application of the social network, and now added it for Android users.

Here's What We Know

Twitter Blue for Android costs the same as iOS, $11 per month. This is 35% more expensive than a subscription in the web version of the social network. The company does not say why there is such a difference, but it is most likely due to the tax that Twitter has to pay for each transaction through Google Play.

A Twitter Blue subscription expands the social network's capabilities. For example, users can edit posts and upload videos in full HD. Subscription holders also have priority in search and a verified account: a blue label for all users, a yellow label for companies and a gray label for government agencies. In addition, Twitter Blue halves the display of ads. For now the subscription is available in the U.S., Australia, Britain, Canada and New Zealand.
