Wanna write a post? - pay: X (Twitter) introduces paid subscription for users
Social network X (formerly Twitter) has announced the introduction of paid subscriptions for new users.
Details
Starting today, October 18, the company has introduced a Not a Bot subscription that costs $1 per year. By paying this money, users will be able to publish posts, retweet, save bookmarks, and give likes. If a user doesn't pay for the subscription, they will only be able to read other people's posts.
X representatives say they have taken these measures to reduce spam and bot activity.
Starting today, we're testing a new programme (Not A Bot) in New Zealand and the Philippines. New, unverified accounts will be required to sign up for a $1 annual subscription to be able to post & interact with other posts. Within this test, existing users are not affected.

The Not A Bot subscription is for new users only. Previously registered users will not have to pay anything, and the functionality of the social network for them will remain the same.
The subscription is still working in test mode and only in New Zealand and the Philippines.
