ideaForge will show SWITCH UAV with thermal imager and a range of 15 km in the USA
Indian company ideaForge plans to present a series of unmanned aerial vehicles headed by SWITCH UAV in the US. The presentation will take place at the UAV Expo in Las Vegas, which will be held on September 7-8.
Here's What We Know
ideaForge will be attending the show in an effort to snag an opportunity to enter the U.S. drone market. The company will be announcing several drones in different segments, and the highlight should be the SWITCH UAV.
It is a model designed for surveillance and reconnaissance. The drone has a range of 15 km and can stay in the air for up to two hours. The maximum speed is not specified, but it is indicated that the UAV can fly in headwinds up to 20 km/h.
SWITCH UAV weighs less than 7 kg. The body of the drone has IP53 water protection. The drone is equipped with a main HD camera with 25x zoom. Nearby, a thermal imaging camera with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels is installed.
The drone has a fixed wing length of 2.6 m and four propellers for vertical takeoff and landing. Together with the drone, buyers receive a laptop with pre-installed software, an antenna to support communication and a controller to control the SWITCH UAV.
