Turkish strike drone Bayraktar Akinci spotted on the battlefield for the first time
A Turkish Bayraktar Akinci attack drone was spotted in northern Syria. This is the first use of an unmanned aerial vehicle in a combat zone.
Here's What We Know
The Bayraktar Akinci is believed to have been on a reconnaissance mission in Syria. However, it later became known about air strikes on Kurdish positions. Whether the two events are somehow connected is not yet known.

The Bayraktar Akinci is a Turkish attack drone developed by the Baykar company. It can be equipped with two Ukrainian AI-450T turboprop engines rated at 450 horsepower each. The drone is capable of flying for 24 hours without landing.
The drone has nine suspended points for weapons. The Bayraktar Akinci can carry air-to-air missiles with a range of up to 100 km, SOM cruise missiles with a range of over 275 km, MAM-C and MAM-L bombs.
