UK develops secret 3D-printed kamikaze drones for Ukraine
Several British companies have been involved in the programme to develop secret kamikaze drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. One of them, QinetiQ, managed to pass all the tests.
Here's What We Know
The drone development programme has been classified. It is now known that the British Ministry of Defence is collaborating with QinetiQ on a project to develop new technologies to create experimental drones.
There is currently no information on how many UAVs have been created for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but it is known that among them was a kamikaze drone with a triangular wing printed on a 3D printer. It is possible that it is the one pictured above.
The project was part of the KINDRED programme. As part of it, the UK government is assessing the types of weapons that could be delivered to Ukraine in four months. Development of the kamikaze drones should take three weeks, while the demonstration should take only two days.
The previously mentioned triangular wing drone was able to pass all tests. However, there is no information on whether it has been sent to Ukraine. In total, the UK has provided the Ukrainian Armed Forces with at least 2,000 drones of various types.
