A Ukrainian drone bomber destroyed a Russian T-80BV tank with a single grenade, hitting it directly in the hatchway
The Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to destroy Russian armoured vehicles using drones of various types. Another victim was a T-80BV tank.

The tank was destroyed by a Ukrainian drone-bomber in the Donetsk region. The first grenade fell next to the combat vehicle. In the second attempt, the drone operator was much more accurate. He was able to hit exactly in the open hatch.

The T-80BV is one of several modifications of the T-80 tank, which was adopted into service almost 60 years ago. The BV version is about 10 years younger than the original fighting vehicle. It weighs 43.7 tonnes, has Contact-1 dynamic protection and has no active protection.
The tank's armoury includes a 2A46M-1 cannon with eight rounds of ammunition and a 9K119 Reflex guided weapon. The 1,100 horsepower engine allows the combat vehicle to reach speeds of up to 70 kilometres per hour.
