15 Shahed-131/136 attack drones, eight Kalibr cruise missiles and a Ka-52 helicopter worth $16m - Ukraine's Air Force destroyed 100 per cent of aerial threats overnight

On the night of 14 August 2023, Ukraine's air defence forces destroyed two dozen aerial threats. They included an expensive attack helicopter.

The Russian Federation once again carried out a combined attack using Shahed-131/136 drones and cruise missiles. The Ukrainian defence forces managed to destroy 100% of the aerial threats - eight Kalibr cruise missiles and 15 Shahed-type kamikaze drones.

In the morning, an Air Force anti-aircraft missile unit shot down a Russian helicopter in Donetsk region. Initially, the type was not identified. However, the Air Force press service later said that the downed helicopter turned out to be a Ka-52 Alligator worth $16 million.
