The Drone Army project has handed over 270 Vampire drones to the Ukrainian Defence Forces. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

Here's What We Know

Vampire is a Ukrainian-made attack drone. It has a range of 10 kilometres and can receive a signal at a distance of up to 6 kilometres from the control station. The drone is capable of climbing to a height of up to 400 metres and reaching speeds of up to 80 km/h. It has a maximum flight time of 37 minutes.

The UAV can target enemy defences and armoured vehicles. For this purpose, it is equipped with a system for dropping shaped-charge, thermobaric and fragmentation-fragmentation munitions. The maximum payload mass is 15kg.

The developer of the Vampire is the Ukrainian company SkyFall. It claims that in case of GPS signal jamming, the drone will continue flying until communication is restored. Naturally, the UAV will not be able to fly forever. If the batteries run out, the drone will fall and explode.
