Moscow has once again come under attack. Unmanned aerial vehicles have once again struck the Moscow City business centre.

Here's What We Know

Kamikaze drones attacked the capital of the Russian Federation on the night of 23 August 2023. The mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin reported on the work of the air defence system in the city.

According to him, it was possible to shoot down one drone, while the second drone hit the Moscow City building, which is under construction. At the same time, the Russian defence ministry reported three UAVs, two of which were destroyed.

It should be noted that usually electronic warfare systems are used to counter drones in the Russian capital. In this regard, even in the case of successful suppression, the UAV together with explosives falls down and can cause damage.

Local media published several videos of the night attack. One of the videos shows a kamikaze drone hitting the Moscow City building at the level of 10-15 floors.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have not commented on the drone attack.
