Ukrainian defence forces shot down 34 Shahed-136, Shahed-131 kamikaze attack drones and 6 reconnaissance UAVs

On the night of September 28, Russia attacked Ukraine with Shahed-131 and Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. Most of the drones were destroyed.

Here's What We Know

Very often Russia launches kamikaze drones from three directions. On this night Shahed-131/136 flew only from Crimea and Krasnodar Krai. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, 34 out of 44 kamikaze drones were destroyed. The attack was repelled by the forces of fighter aviation, anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups.

In addition, the Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement that six operational-tactical-level drones were intercepted the previous day while conducting reconnaissance. The model is not specified, but it is very likely that they were Orlan-type UAVs.
