Australia sends about 100 PPDS cardboard drones to Ukraine every month, the UAV can carry up to 3kg of explosives and fly up to 120km away
We have already written more than once that the Ukrainian armed forces are using Australian PPDS cardboard drones at the front. As it turned out, Australia regularly transfers such UAVs to Ukraine.
Here's What We Know
According to Forces, since May this year Australia has been giving Ukraine about 100 drones per month. One such drone costs about $3000. Initially, such a UAV was intended to transport cargo to the front, but the AFU turned PPDS into a kamikaze drone. It can carry up to 3kg of explosives and fly up to 120 kilometres. By the way, the company producing Sypaq Corvo is now working on an improved version of the drone. It will be able to carry up to 6kg of explosives.
PPDS is a disposable drone, which is folded from cardboard. It is impregnated with wax. Due to this, the PPDS can be used in wet conditions.
