The Ukrainian Defence Forces received 500 DJI Mavic quadrocopters, 300 Phoenix 03 Heavy FPV drones and 40 Vamprie hexacopters with thermal imaging cameras
The Drone Army project has handed over 800 drones to the Ukrainian Defence Forces. This was announced by the Minister of digital transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
Here's What We Know
The Ukrainian Defence Forces received three models of drones. They will allow to perform reconnaissance, surveillance, correct artillery fire and independently strike enemy positions and equipment.
According to the minister, 500 DJI Mavic quadrocopters were sent to the front. They are used for aerial reconnaissance and artillery fire correction. The Defence Forces also received 300 Phoenix 03 Heavy kamikaze drones.
In addition, the Drone Army Project purchased 40 Vampire attack hexacopters. These UAVs can carry multiple anti-tank munitions and are equipped with thermal imaging cameras that allow them to carry out missions at night.
