Ukrainian anti-drone gun manufacturer Kvertus has created a system to detect drones. It is called MS Azimuth.
Here's What We Know
In February 2023, the company launched an R&D project to create a system from scratch that can detect Russian drones within a radius of 10 kilometres. Recently, MS Azimuth began to undergo extensive testing. This was announced by the company's CEO Yaroslav Filimonov.
Technical parameters:
- frequency range - 30-6000 MHz;
- instantaneous bandwidth - 200 MHz;
- scanning speed - 200-400 GHz/sec;
- frequency resolution - 30.5 kHz;
- maximum radius - 15 km;
- minimum bearing time - 32 µs;
- bearing error - up to 8°;
- antenna gain - 6 dB.
The new Ukrainian-made system is capable of detecting drones based on radiation signals from onboard systems. It is expected that the first copies of MS Azimuth will be handed over to the Ukrainian Defence Forces at the end of December 2023.
