Ming-Chi Kuo: Apple will abandon the iPhone 15 physical buttons, they will be replaced by panels with Taptic Engine, as it was in the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8
Chinese analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared new details about the next generation of the iPhone.
Here's What He Said
So, according to Kuo, Apple plans to do away with the iPhone 15's physical volume and power buttons in favor of special responsive panels. They will be equipped with Taptic Engine motors that will mimic tactile feedback.

There will be Taptic Engines located on the internal left and right sides to provide force feedback to make users feel like they are pressing physical buttons.
By the way, we already saw a similar solution in the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 with the Home button. It wasn't pressed, but thanks to Apple's proprietary vibrator it seemed like a real button. According to Kuo, the companies Luxshare ITC and AAC Technologies will supply the Cupertino's TapTic Engine.
By the way, the analyst also added that after the iPhone 15, a similar solution we will also see in the flagship Android-smartphones 2023-2024.
