Dimensity 8100 successor: MediaTek is about to release the Dimensity 8200 processor, and Xiaomi and vivo smartphones will be the first to get it

Chinese insider Digital Chat Station shared details about MediaTek's new processor.

We are talking about the chip Dimensity 8200. The new chip will be the successor to the Dimensity 8100. The chip will get the same Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 cores, but they will have an increased clock frequency and a different configuration. The Cortex-A78 will come with two clusters: one core at 3.1 GHz and three cores at 3.0 GHz. As for the four power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores, they will get a frequency of 2.0 GHz.

The release of the Dimensity 8200 should take place in the near future. The first smartphones to receive the new processor will be Xiaomi (Redmi) and vivo (iQOO).
