Insider: Meta continues to work on smartwatch with Android OS on board and Qualcomm chip
In November 2022, it was reported that Meta closed the project to create a smart watch, the novelty was supposed to compete with the Apple Watch, but that doesn't seem to be entirely true.
Here's What We Know
Agreed dataminer and insider @Za_Raczke, the company has closed development of one prototype, but is still planning to release a smartwatch in general.
About half a year ago, Bloomberg has reported that the previously leaked dual-camera Meta smartwatch project has been cancelled. It appears, however, that Meta is still working on the project. https://t.co/3FrM7MGJ74

If the leak is to be believed, Meta engineers are working on a new prototype of the device. The gadget will be styled like the Fitbit Sense 2 and Fitbit Versa 4 smartwatches, and will also come with a custom version of Android (not Wear OS). According to the insider, the novelty is expected to run on a Qualcomm processor.
Unfortunately, there are no other details about the device yet. It is also unknown when Meta plans to release the novelty.
