Sony's new flagship TWS earbuds WF-1000XM5

Sony unveiled its flagship TWS headphones, the WF-1000XM4 (review) in 2021, and is now working on its successor.

Here's What We Know

The Walkman Blog has spotted the new model in the FCC certification agency's databank. The headphones are set to hit the market with the name Sony WF-1000XM5.

According to the documents, the device comes with model number YY2963. The novelty will come with a Bluetooth 5.3 module. Unfortunately, no other details about the Sony WF-1000XM5 are available from the FCC. We can only assume that the gadget will have an active noise cancellation system, transparency mode and Hi-Res Audio support.

When the Sony WF-1000XM5 will be announced is unknown.
