Xiaomi prepares to launch Redmi Note 12S with NFC and MediaTek chip on the global market

Xiaomi is preparing to release its first smartphone of the Redmi Note 12 range in Europe.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared by insider and dataminer @kacskrz. The model in question is the Redmi Note 12S. The novelty comes with the codenames sea and ocean. One model will come with NFC and the other without. The smartphone is expected to run on a MediaTek processor.

The #RedmiNote12S is being prepared to be released. One of European Xiaomi's distributors said sales will begin in mid-May. Probably (not confirmed yet) codename "sea"/"ocean" (if it's true, it's a MediaTek device - IDK which SoC; two codenames = one for NFC version and one without)

Unfortunately, no other information about the device is available yet. Incidentally, the Redmi Note 12S will be the successor to the Redmi Note 11S, which debuted in January 2022 with a 90Hz AMOLED screen, MediaTek Helio G96 processor, 128GB of storage, 108MP camera and MIUI 13.

When We Can Expect It

If rumours are to be believed, the Redmi Note 12S will be released in Europe in the coming days.
