Confirmed: Nothing Phone (2) will get last year's flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor

Last week, Nothing announced that It's official: Nothing Phone (2) will get Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8-series processor. Now it has been revealed which SoC will be installed in the new product.

Here's What We Know

As we suspected, we're talking about last year's flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. This was casually reported on LinkedIn by Alex Katouzian, head of Qualcomm's mobile, computing and XR divisions. Some time later, Katouzian edited the post and removed the name of the chip.

Flashback

Nothing Phone (2) will be the successor to Nothing Phone (1). The novelty will be introduced in the third quarter of 2023. The smartphone should get 12GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, a 5000mAh battery with fast charging support, and an AMOLED display with a picture refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
