Redmi Note 12 4G gets a more powerful chip than expected

Xiaomi will soon unveil the Redmi Note 12 smartphones in Europe. The cheapest new product will be called Redmi Note 12 4G. The specifications are already known.

Earlier it was reported that the Redmi Note 12 4G will get a Snapdragon 680 mobile processor with up to 2.4GHz and Adreno 610 graphics. As it turns out, the smartphone will be equipped with a faster platform.

Judging by the published photo, the Redmi Note 12 4G will get a Snapdragon 685 chip. This is an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 680, which also lacks a 5G modem and has an Adreno 610 graphics core, but the peak frequency has been increased to 2.8GHz.

The smartphone will be equipped with 4GB of RAM with the possibility of increasing the capacity by 3GB through virtual memory. The main camera will have a resolution of 50 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP, while the front camera will be 13 MP. Also, the upcoming novelty will get a 5000mAh battery with 33W charging and an AMOLED display with 120Hz frame rate.

The Redmi Note 12 4G will be available in a 4/128GB variant with MIUI 14 firmware powered by Android 12. The smartphone will be priced at €279 in Europe.
