Confirmed: Nothing Ear (2) will receive IP54 protection and support for LHDC 5.0 codec

Nothing CEO Carl Pei was interviewed by US publication Forbes to share some details about the new TWS earphones Nothing Ear (2).

Here's What He Said

So, according to Pei, the novelty will get improved protection against water droplets and sweat. We're talking IP54 certification. In comparison, the current Nothing Ear (1) comes with IPX4 protection. Apart from that, Pei also confirmed that the headphones will support the LHDC 5.0 codec. That is, Nothing Ear (2) will be able to transmit audio in high resolution.

Unfortunately, other details about the new product CEO did not disclose, but we know that the gadget will also boast of adaptive noise cancellation system (ANC), an equalizer (Advanced EQ) and the ability to connect to two devices at once.

When We Can Expect It

Nothing Ear (2) will be unveiled on March 22.
