ZTE to unveil world's first dual OS tablet, but there's a nuance

ZTE is preparing to unveil the world's first tablet that will run on two operating systems. The model will be called the ZTE AxonPad. But there is one very important nuance that makes the main feature of the novelty a sham.

Here's What We Know

ZTE claims that the AxonPad will feature enhanced security and users will be able to choose between two operating systems depending on requirements. However, judging from what the source writes, it's just a matter of different firmware.

According to the source, the tablet will get the MyOS 2.0 operating system with Smart Life 2.0 shell. There is no information about the other version of the software. Judging by the fact that MyOS 2.0 itself is based on Android, it is likely that we are not talking about different operating systems, but two versions of the shell, each of which is based on Android.

The Chinese manufacturer is preparing a big presentation to be held on April 12. In addition to the AxonPad, ZTE will announce the Axon 50 Ultra smartphone powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the AxonBook laptop and a local version of the nubia Pad 3D tablet.
