It's official: the vivo X Fold 2 and the vivo X Flip foldable smartphone will debut on 20 April

After months of rumours and leaks, vivo has announced a launch date for its new foldable smartphones.

According to the manufacturer's official invitation, the event will take place in China on April 20. That is, next week.

Here's What We Know

The presentation will feature the new vivo X Fold 2 foldable smartphone. It will get two AMOLED E6 screens with 120Hz picture refresh rate, top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, 4800mAh battery with 120W wired charging and 80W wireless charging, and a 50MP + 12MP + 12MP Zeiss triple camera.

Apart from the vivo X Fold 2, the vivo X Flip clamshell is also worth waiting for at the event. According to the leaks, the smartphone will feature a 6.8-inch main screen, OLED matrix, Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The gadget will be powered by last year's flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and will be powered by a 4,400mAh battery. The battery will support 44W fast charging. How much the new products will cost is not yet known.
