MediaTek is preparing to introduce a new top-level chip for mobile devices. It will be called Dimensity 9200+.

Here's What We Know

It is clear from the name that the Dimensity 9200+ will be an improved version of the Dimensity 9200. The latter has a Prime Cortex-X2 core with a maximum frequency of 3.05GHz, three 2.85GHz Cortex-A710 performance cores and four 1.8GHz power-efficient cores. The processor also features the Immortalis-G715 video chip.

What will make the Dimensity 9200+ stand out is hard to say yet. It will probably get a faster Prime core, and possibly accelerated graphics. According to Chinese sources. Smartphones with the new single-core system will be able to score over 1.35 million points on AnTuTu.

For understanding, the result of the most powerful flagship at the end of March this year was just over 1.33 million points. It was the OPPP Find X6 Pro based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile processor.

The Dimensity 9200+ is expected to debut in the iQOO Neo 8 Pro smartphone. It will also get up to 16GB of RAM, a 1260 x 2800 pixel display and a 5000mAh battery. No announcement date has been specified.
