vivo Y78 5G - Snapdragon 695, 16GB RAM, 120Hz OLED display and 64MP camera with OIS
At the beginning of May, vivo unveiled the Y78 smartphone with 5G support. Almost three weeks later, a model with a similar name and identical design debuted, but with different specs.
Here's What We Know
The new vivo Y78 5G gets an OLED display with curved edges on the sides. The panel has a Full HD+ resolution, 6.78" diagonal, 1200Hz refresh rate and brightness up to 1,300 nits. The body is only 7.89 mm thick.
The smartphone has a Snapdragon 695 mobile processor, complemented by 8GB of RAM with the option to add another 8 virtual gigabytes through Extended RAM 3.0 technology. The storage capacity is 256GB.
The vivo Y78 5G gets a triple main camera with 64MP + 2MP + 2MP resolution. Yes, it has two auxiliary sensors, but it boasts of an optical stabilisation system. The resolution of the selfie camera is 16 MP.
The smartphone is equipped with a 5000mAh battery with 44W fast charging. Also note Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C and a headphone jack. A fingerprint scanner is built into the display.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The vivo Y78 5G's price has not been specified. The smartphone will be available in Flare Black and Dreamy Gold colours. The software platform enters Android 13 with Funtouch OS 13 firmware.
