Video of training firing from Norwegian M109A3GN self-propelled howitzers during exercises published
A video has surfaced online showing training firing of M109A3GN self-propelled artillery units.
What we know
The video was filmed during an exercise. The M109A3GN self-propelled artillery units have already arrived at the front and are successfully eliminating Russian invaders. For example, last week we wrote, that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were able to destroy a Russian Msta-B artillery piece with the help of an American howitzer.
Recall that the M109A3GN is a modernized version of the howitzer M109, which was developed in 1988. It received new barrels of the company Rheinmetall, which made it possible to increase the range of fire. The M109A3GN artillery pieces were created by order of the Norwegian Ministry of Defense.
There are currently more than a hundred M109s in service with the AFU, including 20 upgraded variants of the M109A3GN, which were handed over by Norway.
