Russia claimed to have destroyed more than 100 HIMARS missiles, which in fact turned out to be... straw
The other day, the Russian Ministry of Defense spoke about its next exploits in Ukraine, which was highlighted by journalist Roman Tsimbalyuk.
What happened?
So, Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said that in the village of Lyubimovka, Dnipropetrovsk Region, the strike destroyed "more than 100 missiles to the US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system, eliminating up to 120 servicemen guarding the facility, as well as foreign mercenaries and technicians.
According to Tsimbalyuk, in fact the hangar of an agricultural enterprise came under fire, as a result of which a fire broke out there. And there were stored not shells but 800 tons of straw. "In reality, the strike was carried out on the hangars of an agricultural enterprise, which at the time of the strike stored more than 800 tons of straw (from which, according to Konashenkov, about 100 missiles for HIMARS could have been made). In addition, one child (apparently a foreign mercenary) was injured," the journalist notes.
This shelling took place on the night of July 24 to 25. According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional council Nikolai Lukashuk, two enemy missiles X-59 air-to-ground missiles fired from an airplane - were recorded in the village of Lyubimovka. The shells hit the territory of an agricultural enterprise, as a result of which hay sheds with an area of about 2.5 thousand square meters caught fire. And a child was injured as a result of the arrival in a private sector in the Nikopol district.
Recall that Russia has repeatedly stated about the destruction of HIMARS, but it turned out to be a fake, as confirmed by both Ukraine and the United States.
