Great Britain showed XV Patrick Blackett ship for $11,350,000 to be used to test new technologies and independent systems
The British Navy unveiled an unusual ship XV Patrick Blackett.

The novelty was shown in the port of Portsmouth. The ship is named after Nobel Prize winner Patrick Blackett. The ship has a length of 42 meters and is designed to test new technologies and independent systems. The ship will be used by the Innovative Technology Division at NavyX.
"The arrival of this ship is a turning point for NavyX's ability to deliver technology to the Royal Navy," said Col. Tom Ryall, head of the NavyX project.
According to the UK Ministry of Defense, the XV Patrick Blackett cost $11,350,000. Dutch company Damen was engaged in production of the novelty. The ship can develop a speed of up to 20 knots. In the near future XV Patrick Blackett will take part in Royal Navy and NATO exercises.
