What we know
So, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed four launchers of S-300 surface-to-air missile systems in the occupied south of the country. The Rashists have recently been using them to strike ground targets.
In addition, the AFU managed to destroy one SAM radar station, three tanks, a warehouse with ammunition, five units of armored and automotive equipment, and 73 occupants.
Recall that the S-300 is a family of Soviet medium-range surface-to-air missile systems. Serial production of systems began in 1975. In 1978, tests were completed and in 1979 the first regiment S-300 was put on combat duty. Depending on the type of installation and interceptor missiles, the maximum range of the S-300 can be as much as 150, 200 or 300 km.
